Celebrating Our Pioneer Heritage – Film Screening of Legacy

Wednesday, July 21, 2010 | Education Zion Gallery and Theater | 6:00 - 9:00 pm

Kick off your Pioneer Day celebrations with a special viewing of the Church film, Legacy. The evening begins at 6pm with storytelling in the gallery – step into the past to remember and honor the lives of our pioneers by listening to costumed storytellers. The pioneer’s western trek comes alive with the screening of Legacy at 7pm in the Education in Zion’s theater, B-192, in the Joseph F. Smith Building (JFSB).

Legacy is a 53 minute film produced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The story follows the lives of the pioneers from the 1830′s to the 1890′s.  From New York to Missouri to Illinois to Utah, the pioneers endure sickness, storms, and mobs while remaining steadfast in their faith.

Light refreshments served following the film.
