Meet the Curator

Heather Seferovich has been the curator at the Education in Zion Gallery in the Joseph F. Smith Building at Brigham Young University since 2011. She earned a B.A. in American history and an M.A. in American social history from BYU.

The breadth of her experiences informs her multi-disciplinary approach to museum education. Prior to her position at the gallery, Heather worked at BYU Studies for twelve years as senior executive editor, completing more than 70 Mormon history publications for various authors and working on the Joseph Smith Papers Project central staff for seven of those years.

She was originally hired at the Museum of Peoples and Cultures to work on The Story of Masada and The Dead Sea Scrolls exhibitions (1997), both of which were displayed at BYU’s Museum of Art.
