About

Permanent | Opened August 18, 2008 | Gallery’s Second Floor

Through study, experience, and revelation, inspired students can integrate sacred and secular education with character, service, and life-long learning to better reflect Christ’s light and help build Zion.

Information on this website augments and enhances the material presented in the permanent exhibition. It is not a substitute for a physical visit. Like all museums and galleries, Education in Zion is an experiential learning experience.

Permanent Exhibition Layout

The south side of the gallery examines the study-experience-revelation cycle as it relates to education in Mormon history.

The north side of the gallery emphasizes the four aims of a BYU education: (1) spiritually strengthening, (2) intellectually enlarging, (3) character building, leading to (4) lifelong learning and serving.
